Late Shri Dinesh Godiyal
Late Shri Dinesh Godiyal was born in a small village Goda in the hills of Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, where life was simple, values were strong, and community bonds ran deep. Like many from the region, he moved to Mumbai in search of livelihood opportunities, driven by the need to support his family and build a better future. Though the city gave him work and stability, his heart always remained in the mountains he called home.
Despite living miles away, Shri Dinesh Godiyal never allowed distance to weaken his connection with his roots. He carried his Pahadi identity with pride and ensured that his children grew up understanding, respecting, and cherishing their culture, traditions, and values. The stories of his village, the struggles of the people, and the beauty of Uttarakhand were always alive within the family.
Deep within, he held a quiet but powerful dream, to return to his homeland and contribute meaningfully to its people. However, he was also painfully aware of the lack of sustainable employment opportunities in the villages, which forced generations of skilled and hardworking individuals to migrate to cities. His vision was clear: if meaningful work could be created locally, people would not have to leave their land, families, and heritage behind.
